# Cigna health insurance covers acupuncture

Here at Dylan Stein Acupuncture, both Dylan and Jinhee are registered as out-of-network providers with Cigna Health Insurance. New Yorkers with Cigna often have acupuncture benefits on their plan.

The phrase “out-of-network” usually makes people think that there will be bad coverage or high fees associated with getting acupuncture treatment, but that’s not the case at all. Cigna doesn’t have any in-network acupuncturists in New York City, so all acupuncturists are considered out-of-network.

Cigna Health Insurance has some of the best acupuncture coverage provided by the big insurers in New York. Coverage varies from plan to plan, but most plans have a rider for acupuncture coverage.
