Research being presented at the annual conference of the American Association for Cancer Research has demonstrated a clear link between stress and increased aggressiveness of breast cancer.
More research needs to be done to determine if the diagnosis of a more aggressive cancer is making these women more stressed or if stress caused them to have more aggressive tumors. It seems like both possibilities are equally likely. What the researchers need to know is if they had asked about patients’ stress levels one or five years before their cancer diagnosis, would the they see the same correlation between stress and aggressive tumors?
Cancer is a festering, congealed, tortuous glob of evil. When we do not let our feelings course smoothly, when we hold onto negative emotions, the stasis created affects our physical bodies. It becomes cancer. This is one of the Chinese medicine explanations of how cancer is born in the body.
